Zips Impulsion, ApHC, or "Betty" as we call her, carries some of the most
sought after combinations of pleasure genetics in the industry, including
the AQHA & NSBA pleasure greats Zippo Pine Bar, Zippo Pat Bars (top
and bottom) and other trendsetters including Impulsions, The Investor,
Hot Rodders Jet Set, and great Appaloosas who have also left notable
marks on the progression of the Industry, such as Skip's Reward, and
Mighty Bright.
This superbly bred mare, our premiere Appaloosa pleasure broodmare,
is a full sister to Impulsive Zipper, the 3 time World Champion Western
Pleasure Horse, and renowned Pleasure Sire, owned by Roberta and
Dave Best.
Zips Impulsion has proven herself as a consistent producer of Pleasure
Champions and is the dam of a World Champion.
Out of the 8 registered foals produced by "Betty" are 6 point earners in
performance, earning 116 points, 4 halter point earners, and a Bronze
Medallion winner.
Next up, are her 2 colored foals. Impulsivation, a 2008 filly sired by One
Hot Invitation, AQHA, with Choco Lately progressing nicely as a yearling
Longe Liner, sired by Chocolately, ApHC.

Bulls Breezin Spirit is a colored Appaloosa stallion, royally bred for performance.
Known as "Herbie" on the farm, he is a stylish, talented mover, possessing the
willing attitude, the easily trainable mind of a winner-and the proven pedigree of
a performance champion.
Herbie's pedigree is packed, top and bottom, with proven Champions and
producers of Champions, in Reining and other performance events. The highly
sought after & renowned performance genetics of AQHA, NRHA, NCHA, and ApHC
Champions can be found paternally and maternally in this young stallion's
impressive pedigree.
Bull's Breezin Spirit is sired by the NRHA Champion, Spirit of Pine, (AQHA) a son
of the renowned reining sire, Great Pine who's name can be found in the
pedigrees of many past NRHA greats, and those still competing today. Herbie's
dam, Baby's Whim, (ApHC) is sired by Sure Slide (AQHA) formerly well known in
the Northeast as a sire of NRHA money earners. Herbie's first maternal dam is a
Medallion Winner in Reining, and was sired by Sweetwater's Multiple World &
National Champion performance sire, and Superior Halter Stallion, Breezin' Bull,
ApHC.
Although bred for the reining pen, Herbie missed his SB & Futurity years due to a
freak injury sustained as a yearling, leaving only skin for a tail with nothing left
to tie a tail to. After 4 years of care, surprisingly most of his tail has grown back!
Although this did not affect his soundness, it was not possible to cosmetically
correct his tail in a manner that would have allowed him to be shown at his
best, and with dignity.
Closed book.

In 2010 Betty presented us with a people pleasing, charismatic dun
filly with color, sired by non other than the NSBA Super Star-
Chocolatey, ApHC.
CHOCO LATELY, or "Taffy" as we call her, is a pretty, dun yearling
with color, and a people oriented disposition and trainable
mindset. When combined with her pedigree, this places Taffy on
the short list for becoming a top contender in the pleasures! Taffy
is at Char-O-Lot Ranch for training, watch for her this autumn.

with color. She seems to possess untapped show potential
and is beautiful under saddle. Her potential, based on her
breeding, sound conformation, and the solid foundation
established at Char-O-Lot have Rosie started on the road
to becoming an All 'Rounder, in it for the long haul.

Farms.

"Tigger" (name pending)
2009, Appaloosa, Sorrel Gelding
Sire: Her Alibi, ApHC, grandson of High Brow Cat, AQHA
Dam: Once in A Blue Boon, ApHC, Bay with a Blanket
This handsome 2 year old could go any way you want. Tigger carries the blood of High
Sign Nugget, High sign, Peppy San Badger, High Brow Cat and other greats. He's correct,
very smart, quick and handy and super well bred for almpst any performance event. With
attributes such as these, and at a bargain price, Tigger could also be your next Gymkhana
mount...
Once In A Blue Boon, 2005 ApHC
Bay Blanketed Mare
Sire: My Own League, AQHA X Smart Little Lena, AQHA X Doc O'Lena, AQHA
Dam: High Test, ApHC X High Sign Nugget, ApHC X High Sign, ApHC
This colorful Bay blanketed Appaloosa mare was started on cattle early, but bred as a 3 year old
before we bought her, which all but halted her training. "Blue" is fat, sound, sassy and up to date
on shots, de-worming, feet. She's gentle to work around, has lots of cow, and would probably be
thrilled to have a job.
"Blue" is the dam of the sorrel 2 year old gelding, "Tigger."
"Phyllis" (name pending)
2009, Bay Appaloosa Mare
Sire: DZ Weedo, Multiple World & National Champion
Dam: Little Peppy Zana, NCHA Certificate of Ability, Res. National Champion Sr Cutting, (see
block above about her)
This fancy young mare is an elegant, sweet mover with an absolute air of quality. She's got all of
her dam's moves down pat, and an extensive repertoire of her own while playing. Phyllis has many
of the hard to find attributes sought by NRHA enthusiasts and competitors, and her sire, DZ
Weedo (a Multiple World Champion including in Western Riding) has brought plenty to the table as
far as softening some of the "cow" most reiners would rather not fight with. This gal is sound,
happy, with a big mane and tail.
Genetically bred with an Aptitude for reining, cutting, western riding, & trail!
Would prefer she go to a show home.
"Phyllis" is a 2 year old, very elegant filly who shares her dam's penchant for laying down some jaw
dropping moves, making it appear effortless..This 2 year old could go any way you want HER to.
She's smart, very well bred for performance events, and has super eye appeal!
"Weedie" 2008, ApHC, (name pending)
Flashy Bay and white Gelding
Sire: DZ Weedo, Multiple World & National Champion
Dam: Babys Whim, Dam was Medallion Earner in Reining sired by Breezin' Bull
This flashy 3 year old colored Appaloosa gelding seems like a kids horse waiting to
happen, although he could go more than likely go any way you want. He has a flashy coat
patternto boot. Weedie is smart, well bred, with a sweet demeanor and hard to miss
Appaloosa coloring.
LITTLE PEPPY ZANA, NCHA Certificate of Ability, Res. National Champion Sr Cutting,
(see block above about her)
Colored Appaloosa Mare, (see block above, for information & photos of Zana)
This beautiful, powerful, superbly bred mare is a well proven on the NCHA and ApHC
circuits, and is an NCHA Certificate of Ability earner-no small feat for a colored
Appaloosa mare! But, once this mare starts to move, there's no doubt about her being
the real deal.
Zana's remarkable roster of powerful attributes, combined with her pedigree and
ApHC colored status was just the right combination we'd been looking for to breed to
a top NRHA Champion, although all we sought in a baby out of Zana was met by her
first filly, "Phyllis" a 2009 bay filly who defines elegance, with the power and moves
that are cause for a double take!
Although Zana's been out of the show pen for a few years growing babies, she's kept
herself well, is sound and seems as though she could certainly head back into
competition, possibly as a Ladies or Youth mount.

Due to inquiries from progressive Halter
breeders worldwide, requesting to breed
to The Secret Pardon, we're pleased to be
shipping a limited quantity of certified,
frozen semen to Australia for the 2011
breeding season.
Thank you to our new Appaloosa & Halter
acquaintances worldwide who've
expressed their interest in The Secret
Pardon!

IMPUSLIVATION, or "Rosie" as we call this lovely 3
year old colored bay mare, was in training under the
capable guidance of Sean Schembri at Char-O-Lot
Ranch from late 2009 until she came home in the
late spring for some well earned time off.
"Rosie" is well on her way down the long road
towards becoming a Non-Pro, Youth &/or Open
horse, capable of winning multiple events
under saddle, in showmanship, and quite
possibly in Youth or NP Halter or Hunter in
Hand on the Regional level.
Rosie's eye appeal and correct conformation
encourages long-term soundness. When combined
with a pleasant, people pleasing demeanor, traits
such as these are often shared by show horse greats
who enjoy their jobs-and stay in it for the long haul
seeming to better themselves from season to
season. We've priced Rosie quite reasonably, and its
our hope she goes to a show home.
2008 Colored ApHC Mare Sire: One Hot Invitation, AQHA Congress & Multiple Futurity Champion Sire Dam: Zips Impulsion, ApHC World Champion Producer, 5 foals earners of 116 points Full sister to the World Champion & World Champion Sire: Impulsive Zipper, owned by Dave & Bobbie Best

Presently, the Appaloosa breed is poised to once again be in a position of prominence among current and potential owners of horses from other breeds which share many
genetic attributes and features similar to those of the Appaloosa, including Quarter horses, Paints, and some other American Color breeds. One attribute these breeds don't
share, since it is exclusive to the Appaloosa, is the distinctive, seemingly OOAK coat patterns unique to the Appaloosa since this color results from genes other breeds do not
possess.
Please help keep the Appaloosa breed and its Halter Horse industry alive and thriving! Over time, the dedicated movers and shakers of the Halter Industry worked
relentlessly to continue developing and perfecting techniques used to master the art of breeding, fitting, creating and consistently presenting seemingly flawless halter
horses at show, after show. Through these decades of hard work, the "Modern" Halter Horse emerged as the preferred halter standard, while the Halter Industry also grew and
evolved. Unfortunately, as expressed by many Appaloosa owners, as the Modern Halter Horse progressed, with Corporate Contributions plentiful, many people felt that those
at the top had become unapproachable, and they'd been left out. This situation is certainly not limited to Halter. Currently, similarities also plague many breed show and
specialty disciplines. However, before forever loosing the Appaloosa enthusiasts and owners who are the very core of our breed, we want to welcome all Appaloosa
enthusiasts back- and into the mix! The Appaloosa Horse Club is very interested in the opinions and concerns of its overall membership, and in working with the membership
to bring in new members, breed and show more Appaloosas each year, while helping all who wish to own &/or show Appaloosas feel welcome!
The time is now, with so much having changed. Previously, the Halter Industry technically began at the breeding farm and continued through the In-Gate, as Halter was more
of a corporate oriented segment of the equine industry prior to the recent economic upheaval. However, today due in part to an upside down economy, that is no longer as
much the case. More mare owners are choosing to breed their mares via the use of cooled, shipped semen, also tending to foal their mares at "home." Where are they? In
our travels to open and AHSA pointed shows, we typically saw more Appaloosas competing, than were at the Appaloosa shows in our Region, which was one of the toughest
in the nation.
Last year, it was our pleasure to present The Secret Pardon, with his many modern halter attributes, and HYPP N/N status, as a new option for today's progressive halter
breeders. "Diesel" produced 100% color with his first crop. (2011) Now, at the age of 3, "Diesel" has matured into a halter stallion who is all and more than we could have
hoped for. We wish to thank all of our fellow Appaloosa Breeders & enthusiasts, Worldwide, who've expressed their interest in breeding to this great young stallion. Because
of interest from breeders in Australia, The Secret Pardon has completed the USDA protocols for shipping frozen semen, via SBS's Australian affiliate for the 2011 Australian
breeding season. We hope those down under, and in other qualified countries find The Secret Pardon to be their stallion of choice.
The distinctive Appaloosa breed has the very real possibility of attracting new people to it, and to our Halter world. In order to help achieve this, all with an interest in the
Appaloosa &/or Halter, are being asked for their help. We believe working together is the way for goals to be attained which will once again bring the Appaloosa horse to the
prominence it once owned. Plans and Concepts originally set into motion by one of the most innovative, Horsemen of modern times, the late Doug Schembri, provide a great
start towards seeing these goals to fruition. All choosing to participate will be most appreciated.
The Limited Halter Futurity program, a concept created by Doug Schembri a decade ago, was renamed the Doug Schembri Memorial Limited Halter Futurity, or DSMLHF, after
his untimely passing last August. Please take a moment to review information about this program, to see how you can participate-whether you are currently showing halter,
or not. Information about this is worth reviewing, because help is needed, from you and anyone else who appreciates horses of quality, especially Appaloosas of quality!
To allow us to transition more into Halter horses, most of our reining & performance bred horses are for sale at super reasonable prices. We currently have REAL HORSES for
REAL PEOPLE at REAL PRICES! Visit us on Facebook for up current news, http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sweetwater-Farms

Baby's Whim, aka "Nan" is a performance bred, colored Appaloosa daughter of Bull Lil Princess, a Medallion Winner in Reining sired by Breezin' Bull, & Nan is sired by Sure Slide, AQHA a renowned NRHA fixture in the Northeast for years!
Breezin' Bull, owned by Sweetwater Farms from 1981 until his passing at nearly 30 years, was an Open and Non Pro, Multiple World & National Champion in 13 events, and earned his Superior Halter Stallion with 117 points in Halter Stallions-prior to the half point system!
Breezin' Bull & Laurie Rylander, and the late Randy Cutbirth earned World & National Res or Championship titles in 13+ events, riding all 3 seats, showing over fences, in Reining, Pleasure and Buckboard Driving, and was National Champion Open Versatility Class. Adding to that were National High Point Year End Championships, and special awards, including National English A/O (NP) Rider of the Year, Overall National High Point A/O (NP) Horse & Rider, and others. Despite limited breeding, resulting in only 29 registered foals due to a testicular cancer, Breezin' Bull sired 6 Medallion Winners and National &/or World Champions in Reining, 2 Yr SB HUS, & Youth WP. In 2010 Nan foaled her final baby, and after years of colts, presented us with a gorgeous, deep rich palomino colored filly. Most visitors to the farm find her to be the Welcoming Committee.
